Pin Clamps

½″ Reach Pin Clamps — fits inside a ⅛″ hole and clamps layers together. Use a single steel washer to compress layers of wood together for gluing.

To use the Pin Clamp, first compress it with the pliers. This causes the pin to shrink to ⅛″ in diameter and lengthen to over ½″. Place a ⅛″ metal washer on the pin, followed by several parts to glue or assemble that have a pre-drilled ⅛″ hole. Lastly add another washer.

When the pliers are released, the end of the pin enlarges and pulls into the clamp’s body compressing everything between the washers. It provides alignment and clamping at the same time.
