Our wooden Mechanism Kits are modeled after mechanisms of the past. They are designed to teach how things work and educate you on some of the math, science and history behind these mechanisms. They follow the old adage – “Fun with a purpose.”
No plastic materials are used in these products or their packaging.
To assemble our kits you will need with some glue, sandpaper and a few common hand tools such as a screwdriver, small hammer or mallet, and clamps. They can also be painted or stained to your liking. See the tool section of our catalog.
All of our kits are rated from Beginner (easiest) to Master (hardest) levels. Certain levels require adult help. You are the best judge of your child’s or student’s abilities—our skill level table can be used for guidance to determine the recommended level of Adult/Skilled Help required.
All of our kits contain small parts and are not suitable for young children. If your child, regardless of age, is not capable of handling small parts safely, as our small parts do present a choking hazard, do not buy, use, or assemble our kits.
Always store items containing small parts away from the reach, access, and use of young children. This is particularly important in households or schools where there are children of varying ages. It is your responsibility to make a safe environment for your children.
